Confirm the photo requirementsJapan’s paper passport application requests one borderless 35 × 45 mm portrait taken within six months, with a plain background (white recommended), a front-facing uncovered head and 32–36 mm chin-to-crown height. Write your name gently on the reverse. Follow the official diagram and do not retouch facial features. Online MynaPortal and overseas ORRnet submissions have separate file rules; no digital size is inferred from this print measurement. Wayform has not yet enabled a passport export while the remaining processing and framing details are checked.
