Set up your shot

1. Use a plain, light background required by your application.
2. Face an even light source. Avoid shadows across your face and behind your head.
3. Place the camera at eye level, ideally with someone else taking the photo.
4. Keep your whole head, shoulders and some space above your head in the frame.
5. Look straight ahead, keep a neutral expression and check the rules about glasses and head coverings.
