For confirmed Austrian citizens aged 18 or over living permanently in Canada, applying in person for an ordinary passport through the Austrian Embassy in Ottawa or its listed Canadian consulates. Supports one other nationality with its citizenship status resolved. Emergency/additional passports, loss/theft and unresolved citizenship cases use the embassy directly.

Print both pages on A4 at actual size. Do not sign in advance: sign and date in front of the consular officer. Book the appropriate appointment and bring original citizenship and birth certificates, previous passport, Canadian status/address evidence and any applicable civil-status documents, following the embassy checklist. Canadian certificates may need legalization. Government fees are separate.

Bring two recent 35 × 45 mm photos meeting the embassy criteria. Do not cut or affix the photos yourself. Fingerprints are taken at the in-person appointment.
